Plan, implement and evaluate store communication to ensure that it conveys the benefits of the IKEA Concept as well as completes and enhances range presentation by using proven solutions, best practices, guidelines, and regional directions. Actively contribute to the department action plan with initiatives that will grow the business and support long- term profitability and successfully execute the agreed plans in close co-operation with other functions. Actively contribute to developing, implementing, and evaluating store communication strategies that support sales growth, convenient shopping experience and other KPI’s by using knowledge about life at home and shopping behavior in the local market. Act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities and understand the impact of your actions on the financial results. Secure visual balance and consistency, quality and simplicity, cost-efficiency, and sustainability in producing and implementing store communication. OPERATIONAL Responsible for all the planning, preparation, and implementation of graphics/communication for all projects, activities, vitalities, and other department needs. Ensure that they are planned and implemented with high quality, simplicity, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency using global tools and best practices. Responsible for the procurement of materials, supplies and services for the implementation of the graphics and communication and maintenance of the graphics machine and equipment. Ensure adequate supply of tools and materials for GD unit with environmental awareness & cost consciousness. Ensure that during the implementation, always keep visitors in mind, disruption is minimized and communicate changes when working on the shop floor. Assist Visual Merchandisers, Interior Designers, Activity Leader, and other members of the commercial team as and when required, in projects or activities that are planned for the store. Support the daily store maintenance and routines to keep the store” in shape as new”. Respect routines and responsibilities, work together with the Com&In team and other functions in the store. Required Skills To Be Successful Degree / Diploma in Interior or Graphics Designing 5 years’ experience within the Communication & Interior Design department in one or more IKEA stores 5 years’ solid experience in graphic design advertising agency or retail design studio. A passion, curiosity, and understanding of home furnishing, people’s everyday life at home, retail, graphic design, and communication. Creative and commercial visual competence and very good design skills with a keen eye for aesthetics. Good attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and organize own work to make the most efficient use of time available. Good personal discipline and an ability to work to set deadlines. Practical, hands-on approach to work. Job-Specific Skills: Computer proficient with knowledge and experience of using graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative suite) and production tools (e.g., printers, pre-press production and print techniques). Fair knowledge of MS programs. Driving license is a plus. Behavioral Competencies: Self-reliant, motivated, and resilient and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to use and take personal initiative and a flexible approach/open to change. Enthusiastic about assignments and working with others in a team. Good interpersonal skills, communication skills and verbal and written skills in English and Arabic. Ability to explain concepts verbally and by visual interpretation.
