Objective
The Human Resource Officer is required to support the delivery of HRM services by advising on the application and interpretation of existing HR policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Dependent on work assignment, the incumbent will be required to perform duties in one or more functional areas as listed below in keeping with the Corporation’s strategic goals and business plans.
The Human Resources Officer is primarily responsible for:
Providing direction, support and advice efficiently and effectively in all areas of Human Resources (HR) including but not limited to the areas of recruitment and selection, learning and development, performance management and reviews, grievances and dispute resolution and change management, consistent with legislation, approved policies and work instructions;
· Recruitment
× Identifying and advertising vacancies.
× Developing and revising job descriptions.
× Designing and co-ordinating selection and assessment activities.
× Responsible for recruitment documentation (offer letters, contracts, references etc.).
· Payroll administration
× Responsible for managing and delivering payroll.
× Completing and processing monthly payroll including entry of new employees, relevant salary amendments, overtime etc.
× Ensuring payroll reports and salaries are processed accurately and on a timely basis.
· Policy Management
× Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
· Leave Management
× Process the vacation/leaves as per company norms.
· Visa, Labour Card, EID Renewals
× Track, coordinate with PR Department for the timely renewals of Visa, EID, Labour cards.
· Record Management/File Maintenance
× Maintaining relevant human resources records, information and databases to ensure accuracy and availability of information where required (soft & hard copy);
· Governance/ Compliance
× Ensure policies and procedures are up to date and comply with legislation.
· Confidentiality
× Ensuring that confidentiality with respect to all HR processes and information is maintained at all times;
