Job Purpose:
– Work in close cooperation with the Sales organizations, the Brand Activation team and with functional guidance of Mobile Audio Asia Pacific and Tokyo HQ, the Area Marketing Manager is responsible for co-developing and implementing within MEA and Tokyo HQ guidelines a successful sales and marketing strategy for the Sony product groups and services.
– The Area Marketing Manager heads up responsibility of Area Marketing/Product Marketing/Supply and Control as central function of the MEA office. The Area Marketing Manager is responsible to efficiently lead and develop the designated Area (Market) by delegating, prioritizing and following up on the activities and the associated budgets with a view to maximizing sales and profit.
– In addition to core responsibilities in category, the Area Marketing Manager is responsible for fostering Outstanding User Experiences through collaboration with other product categories and support the prioritization of resources that deliver best propositions for our customers and best overall results for the MEA region.
Job Responsibilities:
The candidate is responsible for co-developing and implementing an effective marketing strategy for the product categories allocated in his defined Area. In the process of fulfilling this objective, the Area Marketing Manager is responsible for:
– Headsets/Gaming Headsets (Preferable).
– Channel development and expansion for new Gaming headset business.
– Responsible for acquiring and maintaining relationships with key account partners across countries in his defined Area.
– Responsible for planning and execution of commercial investments required for the development and demand creation of Gaming headsets.
– Following up on and evaluating the activities and performance of the Area Marketing/ Product Marketing/Supply and Control.
– Ensure budget is allocated correctly as per the guidelines from the headquarters.
– Furthermore, the Area Marketing Manager is responsible for coordinating and communicating with Head Quarter’s Product Planning Team with a view to provide the required input and interpretation during line-up meetings (additional responsibility for career development).
– The Area Marketing Manager is also responsible for ensuring overall achievement of all KPI’s for budget achievement, falling under the Area Marketing Manager’s area scope.
– Cohesion and good cooperation within the team.
– The professional development and retention of the individual staff.
– The Area Marketing Manager is also key interface for Area Sales team and Business partners (in some Cases Key retailers).
– Frequent Amount of Business travel may be required in the assigned area.
Job Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field; preferably in marketing.
– Extensive and relevant experience in area marketing.
– A knowledge of the consumer electronics market and marketing (mainly focused in Gaming industry) is desirable.
– Excellent knowledge of English – spoken & written.
– Arabic Speaking will be an added advantage.
