About this job:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented HVAC technician to install, maintain and repair our rental HVAC systems. The HVAC Technician must be skilled in cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems. You will guide and advise Aggreko clients to select the most appropriate system to fulfil their requirements. You will be responsible for HVAC systems from testing, repairing, installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance and emergency repairs.
Working as an experienced HVAC Technician in Aggreko will provide the individual with job security in an industry which continues to grow and create new positions for qualified technicians worldwide.
The position may allow for Worldwide and Regional travel, working alongside experienced Mechanics and Electricians in similar roles both in HVAC and Power.
The role will be varied, and you will work across all industries, including, but not limited to, construction, O&G, PCR, events and manufacturing.
Whereas some technicians in the HVAC industry concentrate on only one type of system, either heating, air conditioning, or refrigeration, Aggreko others offer a broader range of services, and you can expect to work on all types of HVAC equipment, from small AC units to larger Water-Cooled Chillers, Cooling Towers and/or Boilers.

Your key responsibilities:

- Install, maintain and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and associated equipment
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for all types of HVAC systems
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
- Providing expert technical direction and on-the-job training and mentoring for other Aggreko HVAC Technicians where required
- Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
- Ensuring compliance with appliance and Aggreko standards and with local and international Health and Safety standards
- Comply with service standards, work instructions and customers’ requirements
- Assist customer with HVAC queries
- Responsible for the proper preparing of equipment in the local regional depot(s)
- Ensure proper handling of refrigerants and maintenance of HVAC equipment which in turn will assist Aggreko in achieving its goal of net zero carbon
- Assist with construction/remodel plan review of upcoming projects of the HVAC systems
- Train other HVAC Technicians and staff in preventative maintenance, repair, and care of HVAC systems as may be required

You should be capable of lifting 25 kg and able to carry and manoeuvre heavy items, using safe lifting techniques and/or with the assistance of mechanical aids or members of your team
- Leadership: you will need to demonstrate you are capable of decision making, prioritising and leading a team in the field – this will include being responsible for the Health, Safety and well-being of those around you
- Motivate: mentor employees to become better at their jobs
The knowledge and skills you’ll need to be successful:
Essential skills required for this role:
- Must have completed a 3-to-5-year apprenticeship and/or relevant Degree in HVAC or acceptable equivalent qualifications/experience
- 5 years field work in the HVAC industry
- Must hold any required HVAC license from your home country and valid (in-date)
- Proven chiller and package air-conditioning experience, including maintenance, installation, and commissioning
- Able to carry out TC/MC calculations and expert fault-finding techniques
- Availability to travel as and when required
- Possession of valid local Driving License as per the need of the business
- Site/Depot based job requiring both technical and manual work to be conducted in all weather and terrain
Desired skills required for this role:
- 3 + years relevant International work experience, Cross cultural work experience is advantageous
- Fluent command of English language, spoken and written
- Intermediate working knowledge of MS Office suite
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of technical knowledge
- Able to manage complex engineering solutions, guide and supervise others for work in power system environments
- Able to make complex technical decisions
- Able to guide and assist others with detailed levels of technical knowledge relating to the role of planning and
- carrying out engineering activities
- High level of commitment and loyalty
- Quality oriented with attention to details and capable of working to deadlines
- Capable of working on his/her own initiative
- Able to work long hours in demanding conditions
The people you’ll work with:
The role will include working and communicating with all levels of Aggreko staff in all areas within the Middle East region.
This will include other HVAC Technicians, third party labour, Regional Specialists, Local and Regional Managers at all levels.
You will work closely with clients, discussing their requirements and helping advise possible solutions.
Other information you should know:
This role may involve international travel. You will be expected to work with local and regional teams within the Middle East region as and when required.
You will have the opportunity to volunteer to assist with large scale projects on a Global Scale, working and collaborating with other experts in this field.
