Job Description
GeneralDevelops designs, including concepts, coordination, design documentation and contract administration on projects, while working as part of the project team.Contributes to the development of technical proposals.Develops design by gathering, correlating and analyzing engineering data using computer software and/or established procedures and standards. When possible, collects and analyses information from discipline and interdisciplinary project BIM models.Fully develops the design content by applying both design and technical knowledge to ensure production of high-quality outputs in accordance with project timelines.Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations, specifications, sketches, diagrams, discipline BIM models, drawings, reports and tender documents.Identifies discrepancies in results and proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.Provides guidance to graduate level engineers and CAD/BIM techniciansCoordinates with other discipline engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design process, including the performance of BIM spatial reviews (virtual walkthroughs and clash detection)Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.Maintains and develops the highest level of technical skills and abilities ensuring quality of model production by BIM/CAD teams for accuracy to design instructions.Use the Common Data Environment (CDE) for information exchange.Coordinates with authorities for scheme approvals.Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables, including BIM spatial reviews (virtual walkthroughs and clash detection).

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:SpecificExperience undertaking work to AAHSTO, Eurocodes and British Standards.Experience with a wide range of Geotechnical Investigation techniques and ensuring they are undertaken to the highest standard.Experience on geological mapping (both at the site and the desk studies conducted with CAD and/ or other software),Knowledge on the site investigations: the drilling works, in-situ tests, geophysical surveys,Experience with the geotechnical assessment of the findings of the drillings and trial pits excavations,Knowledge on the soil and rock laboratory tests,Knowledge on the engineering geology and the structural geology,Knowledge on the rock mechanics,Experience on the rock slope design,Knowledge on the Rock Mass Classification Systems,Knowledge on the geohazards and the terrain assessment,Capability to provide solutions on the ground engineering tasks within a wide spec of infrastructure projectsExperience on the engineering geology practices in tunnelling, embankment design, hydraulic structures, road design and superstructure foundation design,,Experience with the design of various geotechnical structures like shallow foundations, deep foundations, retaining walls, excavations, dewatering, and ground improvement.Experience with geotechnical design software like RocLab/Rocdata, Dips, Slide, RocPlane, Rock Topple, Swedge, Phase, Slope/W, SEEP/W, Plaxis 2D, Repute, Group, Leapfrog Geo. Experience with Plaxis 3D or similar would be an advantage.Experience with various types of geotechnical construction activities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Geotechnical Engineering
All civil/ geology /mining background candidates with the experience /knowledge of any of the below listed specifics are highly encouraged to apply.
