Responsibilities

The candidate would be responsible for the management of general insurance claims on a ‘cradle to grave’ basis, handling a diverse caseload whilst being able to conduct site inspections, meetings and interviews with various parties including Insureds, Insurers and Brokers.

This position is UAE-based but may require international travel dependant on the needs of the business.

The successful applicant will have responsibility for the following activities:

• Hands on loss adjusting for liability complex claims.
• Evaluate quantum by gathering relevant evidence, adjusting reserves.
• Clearly explain decisions on liability, negotiating settlement within authority level where appropriate.
• Respond to all written and phone enquiries clearly, courteously and promptly.
• Review claims regularly using diary system to ensure accurate reserves and timely closure.
• Develop relationships with clients by providing a friendly, efficient service.
• Liaise with and control own solicitors to ensure cases not abandoned to them.
• Liaising with Advanta’s international offices.
• Arranging marketing trips and meetings with Insurers, Brokers and Claims Settling Agents.

Skills / Experience / Requirements

Applicants must be authorised to work in the UAE without restrictions.

Ideal applicants will have:

• At least 2 years’ liability loss adjusting experience
• Main areas of expertise: Construction liability, Personal injury, Employers liability, Product liability and General liability
• Familiarity with the insurance and reinsurance markets
• Experience of leading meetings and discussing claims with senior personnel
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Dynamic and flexible to meet deadlines and client needs
• Loss Adjusting qualifications (CILA, ACII)
