Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our culinary team. As a Commis Chef, you will work under the guidance of our Head Chef and contribute to the preparation and delivery of exceptional dishes. Your culinary skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn will contribute to the success of our kitchen and the satisfaction of our guests.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes according to the menu and recipes provided.
Ensure food quality, presentation, and taste meet our high standards.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Assist in the receiving, storage, and rotation of food supplies.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and menu items.
Support the Head Chef and other team members in daily kitchen operations.
Continuously learn and develop culinary skills and knowledge.
Candidate Requirements
Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
Prior experience in a professional kitchen is a plus.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in food preparation.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
