1. Role Objective Reporting to the Revenue Diversity Section Manager, the role of the Business Development Senior Specialist is to contract consented new service opportunities to government & non-government customers in Abu Dhabi. The Business Development Senior Specialist will engage B2B clients, brainstorm and propose innovative consented services that are aligned with ADDC/AADC capabilities. They will manage client relationships during the pursuit to close process, develop technical and commercial offers, and negotiate contracts with support from the Revenue Diversity Section Manager. They will be responsible for growing the revenue and profit of the Section by contracting with existing and new customers.2. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities• Grow the revenue and profit of the new services team by contracting new services with existing and new clients by AED 10M-50M annually• Responsible for startup and execution of the new services business development plans• Identify and engage with new target clients for unregulated services• Market ADDC/AADC’s new service capabilities at regional events and conferences• Present and pitch ADDC/AADC’s service capabilities and deals to potential clients• Coordinates with technical leads for preparing marketing documents and proposals• Develop go-to-market strategies for new services• Develop target account strategies and growth plans• Create and maintain a healthy pipeline of new client opportunities• Estimate opportunity sizes and develop proposal budgets and margins in collaboration with SMEs• Present new service client opportunities to senior management• Support negotiation and close deals with business clients• Track and report on growth strategies and client engagements to senior managementTechnical• Knowledge of retail services in the utilities sector• Knowledge of power and water distribution infrastructure• Market sizing• Sales & marketing• Contract negotiation• Risk management• Business developmentQualifications & Experience Preferred Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferable) in Business, Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience required.• Ability to work fluently in English (written and spoken)Preferred Experience:• 8 – 10 years of professional experience either in professional services, strategy, or management consulting or with a utility company or other large energy player• Experience in sustainability or utilities consulting (preferable)• Proven sales and marketing experience in deals of over 50M AED annual revenue• Proven ability to build relationships with senior leadership at future clients• Experience in leading and coordinating proposals for large deals• Experience in contract negotiation• Experience in collaborating with technical SMEs to develop robust proposals• Experience in pitching service solutions to clients• Local UAE and regional professional network• Understanding of the UAE regulatory environment in the energy & water sector (preferrable)
