Junior Financial Controller

Location: Dubai

The Junior Financial Controller supports the Finance Director in charge of the region to optimize organization and to secure the execution of the plan to deliver expected short and mid term results. The candidate will be working in strong alignment with the Group Controller to deliver just in time daily update of the results of the month, sales margin analysis, estimation, and ad hoc plan.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Challenge the different PJM during forecasting of the project costs and revenues (forecast exercise is done on monthly base)
• Participate actively in the management of the projects: cost reduction plan for the project in case of red KPIs, cost rationalization
• Support coordination of the closings: ensure accuracy (P&L, Balance sheet, Cash Flow items)
• Help review of all significant project/business cases, contracts, tenders in the region
• Ensure reliability of any IT tools implementation and or improvements (S4, PRT tool, SIOP etc). Improve automation of all reporting and format of reporting
• Work in collaborative way with different department within the financial function (legal, Accounting, Consolidation, Treasury) to make sure properly information is shared across the organization
• Ensure Group controlling procedures and processes are applied in the region
• Ensure consistency and standardization of financial processes and efficient use of the ERP system within the region (SAC report etc)
• Help coordination of budget and forecasts reporting
• Provide ad hoc analyses and reports as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Business School or Accounting background (including a nationally recognized professional accounting qualification)
• Min 2-3 years’ experience in operating in construction industry and or similar sector
• Internal/External Audit experience with extensive investigative analytical experience

SKILLS

• Strong Knowledge of IFRS 9, 15 and 16
• Advanced skills in Excel
• Knowledge of SAP S4Hana is an asset
• Languages: Fluent in English
