Based in Dubai, UAE, and reporting to the SVP Development- Premium, Midscale & Economy, the Development Director-Middle East is responsible for expanding the Accor managed and franchised hotel portfolio in Middle East.

The Development Director is responsible of sourcing, negotiating and finalizing all the development projects for Accor, for all brands, all types of contracts, all types of projects, new building / transformation of existing hotels or offices, individual or combined projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Establish close relationships with key clients in order to understand their projects, commercial objectives and branding requirements
• Maintain a strong understanding of current market conditions, competitive landscape and prospective partner/investor/client opportunities
• Support regional development management teams and development personnel throughout the deal-making process through the evaluation of new opportunities, development of pitches, negotiating of contracts and generally removing hurdles which need to be overcome in order to achieve objectives
• Identify main hotel projects and stakeholders
• Represent the company during local and international seminars, exhibitions, or events Support any negotiation of prime projects, lead locally any Luxury projects
• Develop close and regular relations with other departments in order to reflect needs and constraints in the agreements, develop up to date arguments for selling the company l:x-ands and its services
• Validate reports monthly for roll-up into global reporting

Key Skills include:

Domain Expertise:

• Degree in Business, Hotel, Finance, Real Estate similar degree
• A significant experience in Hospitality
• Strong knowledge /experience in market analysis & feasibility studies
• Knowledge of hotel accounting, hotel management, financial modeling, residential development, branded residential management, hotel brands, and ability to understand legal documents. Experience in brand management and communications is a distinctive advantage

Working environment:
