This includes the introduction of regionalized structures, with Ambulatory Health Services (AHS) delivering care across the entire SEHA network.Work Location : Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, and Al Dhafra RegionBasic Purpose of the role: Responsible for supporting the development, implementation, evaluation and coordination of a quality program which includes risk management and patient safety, infection control, audit and continuous quality improvement, and occupational safety & health management for regional Mortuary Services, Ambulance Services and Blood Bank Services, and working closely and collaboratively with Readiness and Business Continuity department and Laboratory to support SEHA’s overall strategy and its efforts to ensure the delivery of high quality healthcare services while mitigating risks, maintaining business continuity and safeguarding the organization.Implementing a comprehensive regional quality program for Mortuary Services, Ambulance Services and Blood Bank servicesRisk Management and Patient Safety Coordinating and supporting the development and implementation of an integrated risk management framework in accordance with SEHA’s mission and strategic goals, federal and state laws and regulations and accreditation standards, to identify, assess and mitigate risk and improve quality and patient safety.Coordinating and supporting the development of plans to effectively measure, monitor and improve outcomes in key areas such as incident reporting and management, management of sentinel events, case reviews, morbidity and mortality review, safety alerts, etcCoordinating, supporting and facilitating system-level taskforces to develop and align system-level risk management initiatives.Audit and Continuous Quality Improvement Policy Management Participating, facilitating and supporting the collaboration and effective communication with the relevant stakeholders for the timely development, review and approval of policies and procedures that are in compliance with requirements of the regulatory authorities and the relevant accreditation / certification programsOccupational Safety and Health (OSH)Developing a Safety Management Program Facilitating, participating and supporting the development of new and revising existing standards and procedures consistent with the mission of the facility, current recognized international best practice and applicable UAE legislationFacilitating, participating and supporting in using of the safety standards as a framework to create procedures on safe work practices organization-wide, within specific departments/areas, or for particular risk factors and issues within the workplaceCollaboration with Regional Departments / Sections and External StakeholdersSupporting region initiatives (Committees, Taskforces etc.) as requiredSupporting DOH reviews, queries or projects (Jawda and others) as requiredMaintaining a strong working relationship with Readiness & Business Continuity and the Laboratory, regional departments and external regulatory authoritiesMaintain a strong working relationship with relevant counterparts and quality section managers in the region.Qualifications: Required: Diploma in a medical, clinical, quality, or relevant health-related field Desired: Bachelor’s degree in public health, Health & Safety, Risk Management, or a relevant field Specialist Certifications: Required: N/ADesired: Recognized certifications such as Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), ABMQ Certification in Medical Quality (CMQ), Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) etc.Experience Required in addition to the Qualifications mentioned above (Relevant to the Job)Required: 2 – 4 years of experience in relevant field(s) in healthcare, excellence, quality, risk or patient safety for a comprehensive tertiary healthcare facility is required.
