In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

Controller MEACAT

We are currently recruiting for a Controller MEACAT for our Electrophysiology division to be based locally.

The MEACAT (Middle East Africa Central Asia Turkey) Controller position is a critical role to coordinate the commercial and financial leadership and owns the P&L in this complex region.

The controller can act as a true business partner to the commercial team as well as the support functions, who are relying on the financial knowledge and expertise of their controller.

As a key member of the Emerging Markets and Benelux regional leadership team, the MEACAT Controller has full transparency into all aspects of the P&L and will involve him-/herself into all drivers of value creation.

Your Responsibilities:

• Act as a trusted business at all local commercial levels.

• Accountable for the development and the delivery of all LBE commitments during the year. Ensure strong operational discipline for all finance-driven processes across the organization.

• Ensure full financial compliance with all activities in scope.

• Provide ongoing standard analysis on all levels of the P&L, including risks and opportunities assessment.

• Take ownership on all items that directly influence your P&Ls.

• Work with larger, complex data sets to support implementation of data solutions that help predict, improve and measure the success of key business outcomes

• Develop and run reports and provide analysis to management in relation to your regional plan

• Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills focused on data deliverables in a way that lays groundwork for future successes

• Ensure that best operating processes are in place in order to timely and effectively gather information from sales and marketing as required

Your profile:

• Master’s degree in finance, economics or a related field or equivalent in experience

• At least 5-7 years’ experience in a similar function in an international corporate environment

• Proven analytical skills at senior management level

• Strong Business Partnering skills

• Strong commercial business acumen

• Skilled in Excel and another established data-cube system (Hyperion, Dodeca, etc.)

• Fluency in English

• Team player within a matrix organisation design
