Senior Fiduciary Specialist

You will be working as a Senior Fiduciary Specialist and will be the part of Electrification Business Area for EL Division based in Dubai, UAE. In this role you will be responsible in supporting the country holding officer in all fiduciary activities and will be responsible to ensures that all local fiduciary requirements from country and finance are duly met and complied with.

Your responsibilities

• Support the coordination of matters related to the country legal ownership structure. Recommend and oversee changes and implementation in country legal structures and support country governance matters in line with local legal requirements and act as the authorized signatory for compliance with country regulations and statutory requirements.
• Fulfil fiduciary duties on behalf of the country legal entities and the respective Businesses Areas/ Divisions and facilitate decision making, where required by country legal needs. Support businesses as required.
• Responsible for compliance with all applicable local fiduciary finance requirements including compliance with local statutory GAAP, local reporting, legal and tax requirements, with support provided by GBS and CoEs.
• Support Corporate as required in developing financial and tax strategies and acquisitions, due diligences, and negotiations at country level. Represent ABB locally, or organizes representation by another local finance leader / expert and actively manage partnerships and external stakeholders within the sphere of finance, whenever of significant importance for several local businesses and not owned by GBS or Corporate.
• Maintain relations with external auditors and communicate their local finding(s) and recommendations to the appropriate organization for remediation and contribute to the definition of the strategy for the business unit and serves as the key partner for the relevant business leader in determining strategy for area of responsibility, aligning with wider strategy, implementing, and making adjustments in implementation as needed. Maintain constant contact with relevant other managers and controllers regarding financial, market and customer situation and outlook.
• Support country holding offer to translate strategy into business plans and establish measurable targets, oversee the business planning and forecasting process for the area of responsibility and serves as the interface to HQ/Country CFO/Global/Local Division Manager. Evaluate financial implication of various strategic decisions, builds scenarios and recommends actions.
• Monitor progress achieved and provide insight and analysis to support operational decision making, identify issues and advises management on action plans and operational strategies to resolve. Drive appropriate cost structure, productivity optimization, and capital efficiency. Execute risk review procedures and processes in the line with global policies and standards to minimize commercial and financial risk and exposure.
• Ensure transparency in financial reporting and disclosure. Define and implement internal control regarding financial and non-financial operations and ensure compliance with corporate and country standards, regulations, and guidelines. Support internal and external audits.

Your background

• Bachelors degree in finance/Audit – MBA.
• 5 to 10 years of overall experience in a similar capacity.
• Diligent, strong decision-making ability and a good team player.
• Proven Leadership and management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence both internally and externally.
