The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) is the supervisory and regulatory authority of the banking and insurance sector in the United Arab Emirates. The CBUAE is responsible for enhancing monetary management, financial stability and protecting consumers through effective supervision of licensed financial institutions, prudent management of reserves, robust financial infrastructure and the adoption of digital technologies.The role holder is responsible for the smooth running of Board of Directors (BoD) meetings, Executive Committees and other CBUAE Committees operations. The role holder is also responsible for providing administrative and technical assistance to all the committees, ensuring alignment to the stipulated corporate governance principles and warranting the quality and timeliness of material provided to Board, Executive Committees and Sub-committee members.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the scheduling and arranging the meeting dates, time and locations (i.e., calendar, agenda, etc.) for the BoDEnsure compliance with corporate governance principles and organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards.Ensure the quality and timeliness of all material and information provided to the BoD and Executive Committee members.Collect, organize and prepare the received memorandums and all relevant materials needed for meetings.Conduct the technical analysis of the BOD and Executive Committee presentations including executive summaries, previous related decisions, follow-up tables and appropriate reports.Oversee communication with all members on meetings particulars.Ensure the documentation, issuance and distribution of the Board and Executive Committee Decisions and follow up on the implementation of the decisions.Ensure the systems, practices and procedures operating within the Board, Executive Committees and Sub-Committees reflect a culture of continuous improvement and external good practice.Uphold the legal requirements for conducting meetings (i.e., checking quorum is present at meetings. etc.)Ensure that meetings of the Board, Executive Committees and Sub-committees are held in accordance with the ethos and values of CBUAE.Oversee and manage Committees E-Meetings system.Perform any other duties outside the scope as and when required.Position Specifications:Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration/Management/Law/Accounting/Finance or a related field or relevant subject.Ideally, 4 years prior experience in the role of board secretary and/or executive committees technical support/management in large organizations including Risk, Corporate Governance, Legal AdvisoryProficiency in MS Office (Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook) or other administration toolsExhibiting independent judgment and the ability to influence balancing multiple stakeholder expectations and objectives.Dealing sensitively in multicultural environments and building effective working relations with colleagues and external stakeholders.Proficiency in English, Arabic is an advantage.This role is onsite and based in Abu Dhabi.The CBUAE offers you the opportunity to join an interdisciplinary and multinational team spans diverse backgrounds and experiences.
