Job Description
Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analysing account information.
Maintain general ledger accounts – By preparing a trial balance, reconciling entries, preparing balance sheet and income statements
Process all accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions. Handle cash, bank and petty cash transitions.
Prepare bank reconciliations and maintain petty cash.
Support month-end and year-end book close process.
Prepare weekly and monthly running cash forecast
Record and monitor fixed asset transactions.
Prepare monthly financial reports.
Preparation and filing of quarterly VAT returns for submission to Tax authority.
Liaise with external auditors in preparation for audit and attend all queries and requirements from auditors.
To handle and address requirements from different stakeholders (Auditors/Banks/Vendors etc.) and establish strong working rapport with stakeholders.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CA/CPA/CMA qualified.
2-5 years’ of experience in similar role
Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP- Microsoft Dynamics AX/ SAP/Oracle. Hands on experience with accounting software packages like AX Dynamics preferable.
Planning & organizing, time management and reporting skills preferred.
Strong accounting skills and well versed with current IFRSs.
Good knowledge and understanding of VAT and Corporate Tax laws.
Good knowledge and understanding of private equity and private equity funds.
