Principal Solution Architect – IT eCommerce
Job Description
As a Principal Solution Architect for the IT eCommerce Domain, accountable for overseeing the technology enablement and adoption to modernize applications with micro-services based and api first approach to run in cloud computing environments. The role is accountable for engagement with product ownership teams and cross functional teams to continuously improve agile processes, architect application integrations to support migration and software product lifecycle s in the cloud. Must be able to lead engagements for complex application environments, encompassing both business process understanding and technical expertise. Drives technical solutions to improve the consumption of cloud technologies. Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for other team members.

Key Interfaces: Product Owners, Business Partners, SCRUM Masters, Business Analyst, Enterprise Architects, Consultants and 3rd Party providers.
Key Accountabilities
- Design, implement & Manage engineering efforts with new features while continuously improving quality of technical products and applications.
- Provide technical knowledge and leadership to agile product teams.
- Hands on experience and in depth understanding on one or more of the areas including Digital CXPs, Commerce Engine and CMS
- Work collaboratively to define system architectures and design solutions
- Ensure software code quality standards and metrics
- Practice test-driven development
- Participate in communities of practice by contributing to standards and sharing knowledge
- Achieve operational excellence by automating processes
- Maintain effective partnerships with operations and engineering teams to drive service improvement
- Remain current on IT trends pertaining to their area of practice
- Maintain appropriate controls and documentation to ensure compliance of audit requirements & Contributes to technical issue resolution.
Key Qualifications and Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree (Minimum) with over 10 years of relevant experience in software engineering, software development, solution architecture, and infrastructure technology.
- >4 years of experience in implementing/deploying leading package software – Magento/Drupal-Acquia, React Native.
- Certified in one or more technology or application platforms: Magento, Acquia Drupal, React Native etc
- Certified in one or more IT disciplines: Business Analysis, Service Lifecycle or Management (ITIL), TOGAF, Agile Methodology, Lean IT, CSCP, CPIM, etc.
- Possess strong leadership skills and exhibit creative thinking to be able to come up with innovative and tactical solutions to solve business challenges
- Provide thought leadership while keeping up with industry trends and disseminating information across the organization
- Experience working with blended teams consisting of employees, vendors, and consultants with both onshore and offshore resources
- Strong Technical leadership of Application Development teams and vendors
- Extensive experience collaborating with Enterprise Architects and infrastructure engineers to identify, design, and implement highly complex, end-to-end solutions
- Strong understanding of Agile / Scaled Agile , CICD processes and methodologies
- Cultivates networking opportunities within the organization
- Broad range of business and IT experiences; has achieved technical and/or business certification(s).
- Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory. Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines, and may extend to suppliers, partners and customers.
- Domain knowledge in eCommerce covering applications – Magento, Drupal, React Native, Middleware; ability to convert business need or problem to specific and detailed requirements; ability to work as a team to design, configure, build, test and deliver appropriate packaged software or custom developed solution; ability to define and implement process improvements; expertise in documentation
- Experience to optimize large scale ecommerce application. Ability to design application for eCommerce security principals.
