The role holder is responsible for ensuring operational excellence while meeting the strategic and financial goals for DSC commercial offices and DSC filming Facility complex through the formulation of policies and systems to ensure appropriate methods of budget tracking and departmental operations. The role holder also works actively to develop initiatives to improve the local media industry.Budgetary Supportthe line manager in developing the DSC budget to ensure the estimated required capital (Capex) and operating costs (Opex) over the full life cycle of the business plan are proposed for approval and ensure that projects are carried out within the agreed parameters.that all business activities within DSC are carried out in an efficient and cost-effective manner, meeting or exceeding the corporate objectives.monitor implementation of approved budgets and undertake corrective actions upon approval to ensure expenditure is controlled within budgets.the annual operating budget for the department and ensure that the team meets the financial targets set for operational expenditure, and provide support to Business Development so revenue, customer retention and expansion targets are met.and rearrange operation budgets for the DSC Filming Facility to cut costs and increase revenue.on customer service initiatives and develop long lasting relationships with existing business partners to maintain reoccurring revenue Achieve target revenue for DSC by maximising revenue generation from soundstages and any other recording facilities in DHAMOperationsdaily operations of the department, analysing workflows, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines.processes, solutions and systems that ensure effective and efficient delivery of operations and services to business partners for all existing and new DSC assets.new initiatives that would improve DSC’s operational excellence, and partner with other relevant departments to develop appropriate plans and proposals.towards the development of the media community, by establishing and assisting the Marketing department in the organization of networking events, seminars and activities that enhance customer exposure and promote networking amongst business partners and to improve various media industry segments.and develop initiatives to improve the local Media industry.the coordination of activities across all stakeholders to the Filming Facility assets to ensure that the production company’s needs and expectations are met and exceeded.suppliers and service providers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed services while staying within budgetary limits.and track the post sales implementation for anchor clients and ensure all stages are handled effectively by the team to ensure superior customer satisfaction.develop and recommend opportunities for superior processes that will result in cost effective solutions and greater customer service.required manuals and guidelines for operations related matters for all DSC assets, including soundstage complex.and supervise the performance of direct reports in order to achieve and maintain consistently high levels of customer satisfaction.review team performance related to operational support for retentions and expansions through business partner visits and monitoring of financials.filming permits with a collaboration with DFTC in any location under DMC, DSC, DPC and in5 media.and monitor all broadcasting segments if they are new, existing or amendments.Continual Improvementto continually improve quality and efficiency of services through improved processes to enhance customer retention and customer experience.engage in networking and developing external relationships with relevant external authorities in order to ensure that the appropriate level of external services is obtained to the best advantage of the business.in-depth knowledge of the industry landscape and marketing intelligence – being always aware of market demands, change and trends.and simplify filming processes and Filming facility bookings.new relationships with the international media industries for future collaboration.and analyze new media trends to anticipate changes and capitalize on new opportunities.Provide leadership within the function, setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing, and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance in the pursuit of the Department’s objectives.Build and promote an organization culture that encourages innovation and reward performance that leads to enhanced staff motivation and retention.Teach the team about the media industry which helps increase the level of understanding and communication between the team and the business partners.
