We are hiring a Mechanical Estimation Engineer(for HVAC, Water, Drainage & Fire Fighting Services)Job Functions:Study tender BOQ, quantities take off, sending enquiries to the subcontractors/ vendors & liaising to get competitive quotations.Implement Design knowledge of HVAC, Water, Drainage & Fire Fighting services to prepare preliminary design for cost Estimation based on Architectural drawings.Prepare tender study report by analyzing the scope of work.Implement tender strategy as communicated by proposals/ estimation manager.Establish direct cost resources required to execute various activities.Prepare & submit man hour rates & material rates for each item of HVAC, Water, Drainage & Fire Fighting services in compliance with Tender documents.Propose alternative Value Engineering from the Tender Design.Prepare technical clarifications & RFIs to client/consultant for discrepancies & missing information in tender documents after reviewing and incorporating the changes after obtaining responses.Analyze vendor technical offers and commercial as well in view of project specifications and standards.Prepare comparative statements to analyze and select the most appropriate vendors and subcontractors.Prepare vendor cost comparative study report to get financial selection of vendors/ subcontractor & price.Prepare bid documents including commercial and technical submittals.Collect all vendors’ technical data sheets, vendors’ specification, drawings, and compile in line with tender documents to prepare technical bid submission.Assist the management for post tender commercial negotiations with client and vendors as well to reach competitive pricing.Participate in pre-tender meetings, site visits and preparing site visit reports to analyze the project scope of work.Additional knowledge in Electrical services to assist in Electrical Estimation Quantity take off shall be added advantage. Qualifications:Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering.5-6 years of experience in MEP Contracting field
