Summary of position:Perform and execute finance centre of excellence functions focusing on financial accounting, management reporting, annual plan & budget, accounts payable & receivable, treasury, audit, tax and other regulatory compliance for relevant PETRONAS Group of Companies operating in Dubai and across Middle East/Africa region and partnership with other Group Finance in Malaysia, Finance departments including non-Finance departments at businesses in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in Malaysia and United Arab Emirates (UAE) whilst sustaining integrity and good corporate governance to support the PETRONAS business plan and strategies.Job Descriptions:Perform and execute financial accounting activities respective unit and production of financial report for the business on a monthly and quarterly basis as well as the implementation of new accounting standards and regulatory requirements activities through periodic review with insightful analysis and effective planning to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting, and to stay up to date with the latest accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Execute the overall implementation of statutory audit activities and production of the audited financial statements through effective monitoring of the audit activities, including limited review and year-end audit, resolution of potential audit issues, and effective engagement of internal stakeholders and external auditors in compliance with applicable accounting standards, company reporting requirements, and regulatory requirements, in order to ensure timely and accurate statutory reporting.Monitor and perform the development and production of respective business annual plans & budget by interfacing with various stakeholders and reviewing the submission and analysis from it to ensure alignment with business strategies, objectives, and operational plans for the purpose of approval by the Board in accordance with management requirements.Execute the implementation of effective and efficient treasury activities of respective units which include banking, investment, forex, liquidity, and funding transactions for the company in line with statutory requirements, policies, and procedures, and to ensure the smooth running of operations.Investigate and resolve daily issues on matters related to finance centre of excellence functions with focusing on financial and tax accounting, management reporting, annual plan & budget, accounts payable & receivable, inventory, treasury, audit, tax, and other regulatory compliance by rendering consistent and professional business partnership arrangement, providing the best approach to address/mitigate issues raised, acting as experts/point of reference through effective and continuous support/expert advice to address business requirements, create value for insightful analysis, achieve common goals, and support informed decision-makingPerform and execute on implementation and assessment for applicable PETRONAS procedures and guidelines to ensure conformance to the established Limits of Authority (LOA) business and the safeguard of the company.Qualifications:Degree in Accounting/Finance from accredited institutions. Professional qualification (ACCA, MICPA, and ICAEW) or advanced degree will be an advantage.Requirements:Minimum 5 years of working experience in Finance and Accounting related work, preferably in oil & gas industry.Exposure in applicable financial reporting standards, financial disclosure requirements by International Standard and regulations and applicable tax regulations.Please apply online.
