We are looking for an Operations Manager for Tokimeki ‘s Tea Shop to work hand and hand with the owner as we expand the business locally. The Operations Manager will organize daily operations and motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service.

To be successful in this role you must have strong leadership qualities and work experience with various roles in restaurant or cafe management. Combined work experience in hospitality and food service with a strong desire to learn about tea is also welcome.

You must be punctual and organized to ensure everything operates smoothly and a good example is provided for the baristas. Experience managing coworkers (including assigning tasks, creating a positive vibe and atmosphere, providing feedback, etc.) or ability to learn to be constructively assertive with your coworkers is a must.

The goal is for you to help increase profitability, boost customer engagement, and turn our tea shop into a favorite local spot.

Responsibilities

• Communication – Must be an effective communicator to best resolve staff issues as well as convey issues and improvements to the owner. This fosters a relationship of trust so that you and the Owner can grow the success of the shop together.
• Creating and implementing the systems to maintain consistency.
• Create Monthly Schedule
• Ordering from Vendors
• Manage day-to-day operations – Ensuring we have proper change, adequate stock, and baristas are on task, cleanliness guidelines are met and maintained
• Training – Overseeing training to maintain consistent knowledge and expectations across staff.
• Setting tone for employee and company culture. Getting everyone on the same page to help foster a healthy and nurturing environment for staff.
• Supporting Staff – Provide solutions to staff including resolving issues with patrons to deliver excellent customer service.
• Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation – The cornerstone of our operation. Customers expect a friendly face behind the bar and we are happy to provide them with the best coffee experience in town.
• Suggest new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences – For example, options for gluten free or vegan drinks, food items, or baked goods.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: AED8,000.00 – AED10,000.00 per month
