Job Purpose: To manage and control all day-to-day dnata Airport Operation’s facility related projects with regards to the communications and data infrastructure and Planning for SP2020 serving as the main liaison person with Dubai Airports and Emirates Group IT . To ensure effective long-term planning under the SP2020 and execution of projects up to 1 year including budgetary needs, preparation and validation of business cases in close co-ordination with Manager Facilities and Planning (MF&P) and Line Departments. To ensure the smooth running and support of existing facilities including the communication and systems requirements, by managing the provision and monitoring of SLAs with vendors.
Qualifications & Experience: Airport Operations.Other : 8+ Years Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) : Practical experience in facilitating/planning communications and IT related aspects in project and non-project of which at least 3/4 years in a supervisory capacity in an airport / port or other similar environment. It is desirable to be a certified First-Aider or Fire-Warden. Knowledge/skills: -A thorough understanding of relevant communication technologies and equipment, especially those in use within an airport environment. -Detailed knowledge of the working concepts of communication equipment as also data / message communications such as Trunk Radios, intercom systems, switching systems, VHF radios etc. -Knowledge of LAN / WAN / RF networks, Computer hardware, Airline systems knowledge, communication systems (such SITA, AFTN) etc. would be advantageous Project management expertise essential Prior knowledge of purchases and stores will be advantageous. -Good working knowledge of MS-word, MS-excel, MS -ACCESS and MS-PowerPoint Safety -Sensitive Role: Yes Details of Safety Sensitive role: Hazards Working at height Exposure to hazardous energy systems Work in confined spaces Contact with human waste Contact with other hazardous materials Heavy lifting Work in a noisy environment Other ( please specify) Hours of work Day/night ( shift roster) Day hours only Yes 8.5 hour working day Yes 10 hour working day 12 hour working day Additional requirements Airport driving permit Other ( please specify)
