The Compliance unit is responsible for ensuring that the Bank complies with all relevant external laws and regulations applicable in the various jurisdictions that the Bank operates in Significantly this includes compliance with Sanctions Anti Money LaunderingAML and Counter Terrorist FinancingCTF requirements not only of the countries that the Bank operates in but increasingly there is an expectation of compliance with those of key US and EU regulators

The Organisation Unit achieves this by:

• Setting out the relevant regulatory requirements and expectations that the Bank must comply which are then mapped to the Banks respective policies procedures and processes
• Working with the business to monitor and set appropriate policies procedures and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements expectations and industry best practices
• Providing official written and informal guidance and advice on Compliance matters to the respective businesses as and when requiredeg on a client product or transaction basis
• Ensuring that appropriate training is given to all relevant staff on the Banks policies and procedures This includes the provision of training on key policies and procedures such as Sanctions AML and CTF
• Undertaking periodic risk based Compliance Monitoring to ensure the Banks policies and procedures are being complied with and escalates to management significant noncompliance
• Managing key Compliance systems such as Customer Screening Transaction Screening and AML Monitoring
• Managing the case investigation process arising from the key Compliance systems and making the necessary escalations to management and disclosures to the relevant authorities

Brief Description:

• Responding to all regulatory requests to review and provide relevant informationeg Customer transaction policy procedure and training compliance monitoring and process details or cooperation in a timely manner
• Responding to all requests received from LEA and provide the relevant information within timelines

Detailed Description:

• Compliance Officer supports the Regulatory Manager in this role in liaising with all the business units in order to set out the relevant regulatory requirements and expectations that the Bank must comply with
• Compliance Officer revert back to all CBUAE request received with regards to Search and Freeze and decimates information that has been sent by the Regulator Apart from this incumbent ensures appropriate filing record maintenance and various tasks stand completed allotted by the Regulatory Manager required for the proper functioning of the team FATCA related tasks are covered by this position and also support to Head of Regulatory and Monitoring requests with regards to helping the team out

Job Requirements:
1.Responding to Central BankLaw Enforcement Authorities

• Ensuring timely responses to the Central Bank Queries Related to Searches request for information Freeze Unfreeze Close accounts and withdraw checkbooks etc which receive from various law enforcement sources CB CB AML SCU Dubai Police in an accurate and timely manner
• Keep line manager up to date on any issues in responding to CBLaw Enforcement queries
• Ensure adherence to the established freezeunfreeze process and TAT
• Follow up with various businesss unit to ensure that the customer documents are provided and CB instruction has been actioned
• Maintain internal records for all queries
• Maintain and update departmental MIS on a daily basis for all the requests received
• Ensuring that watch list queries are replied promptly
• Prepare MIS of the CBLaw enforcement request for the INA and QA for their review as appropriate and prepare MIS attentive to issues noticed or highlighted during QA or by INA or raised by the Group Complianceif any and work on the solutions to attain satisfactory controls
• Highlight any deficiencies noticed around the internal process Complete other tasks assigned by the manager in an efficient sincere and timely manner

2Regulatory Compliance FATCA CRS Compliance Reports

• Giving priority to requests made by or on behalf of Head of Regulatory Compliance and Monitoring Group Compliance
• Providing the Head of Regulatory Compliance and Monitoring with feedback information and reports of sufficient accuracy detail quality context and relevance within the given deadlines and timeframes
• Assist with coordination and compilation of information requested for GRC BRC EXCO and other relevant committees
