About the role
Careem’s Mobile Shared Experiences team builds the experiences shared by all our customers on the Careem app like customer onboarding, home screen, profile and chat. As an Engineering Manager you will be reporting to the Director of Client-side Platform Engineering and lead a team that works with modern technologies like Kotlin, Swift, Jetpack Compose, SwiftUI, and Kotlin Multiplatform to build the experiences that enhance the journey for all our customers.
What you’ll do
- Build the mobile shared experiences roadmap and deliver it to our customers
- Represent your team in engineering discussions with other teams.
- Support the careers of the engineers on your team and ensure their continued development.
Basic qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as an engineering manager or team lead.
- 6+ years of overall technical experience.
- Experience with Android or iOS development.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience leading teams in a remote-first environment.
- Experience scaling up engineering teams in a startup environment.
- Have a keen attention to detail and a passion for building great customers experiences
