EEG Technician
Job Location : UAE
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine and complex EEG tests on pediatric and adult patients according to established protocols and physician orders.
• Prepare patients for EEG procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Apply electrodes to specific locations on the patient’s scalp, ensuring accurate placement.
• Operate EEG equipment and make adjustments as necessary to obtain optimal recordings.
• Monitor patients during EEG tests, observing for any abnormalities or complications.
• Document test results accurately and maintain detailed records of each patient’s EEG findings.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to analyze EEG data and assist in the interpretation of test results.
• Maintain cleanliness and sterility of equipment and testing rooms.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the EEG procedure and any necessary preparations.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and techniques in EEG testing and neurophysiology.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an EEG Technician, preferably with experience in both pediatric and adult EEG testing.
• Proficiency in performing electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS) is essential.
• Possession of a valid DOH (Department of Health) exam passed or license, or willingness to transfer a DHA (Dubai Health Authority)/MOH (Ministry of Health) license to DOH.
• Strong knowledge of EEG equipment operation, electrode placement, and signal acquisition techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately document and maintain records.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to work in various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
