Job Description

The Manager – Communications will be responsible for leading major projects and campaigns for the client(s). Day to day the role is varied ranging from taking client briefs, collaborating with the strategy and creative teams on brief development, presenting work, managing the production stages of projects and fostering the younger talents in the team.

Operations

• Assisting Business Lead to ensure all processes, FTE team utilisation and commercial delivery approaches are accurate and the most efficient/effective across account(s).
• Manage all operations and improve the ‘Hygiene’ and health of all operational and logistical activities incl. smooth mgmt. of account, improved evaluation score of client, timely follow-up with internal stakeholders, regular internal and external meetings, ensure pro-active briefing to get ahead of client requests leveraging all competencies like data, SM, strategy, category and consumer understanding, on-time contact reports, updated CPSs, status reports etc.
• Passionately drive Power of One efficiencies by utilising best practices, tools and data across account and brands.
• Effectively manage our client’s invoicing/financial process and ensure flawless operations. To be measured by having Maconomy up to date with POs, LPOs, etc. and timely invoicing throughout the year achieving zero discrepancies and zero unbillable jobs – Managing all financials, budgets and jobs efficiently and effectively
• Utilise Groupe systems and tools for effective communication, maximizing the opportunity for injecting data into everything that we do.
• Implement operational efficiency by managing an agile project delivery process which caters for business and client requirements that has been set by the Business Lead.
• Up to date, accurate and on time updates to line manager.
• Using correct briefs and communications at all times and proactivity is maximized ongoing. Collate and distribute accurate and timely communications reports to client and internal teams at all times.
• Being a key contact for your clients while taking and interpreting client briefs
• Leading and or attending client meetings
• Presenting work to clients in collaboration with the wider team

Brand Management and Business Knowledge

• Become an expert on your assigned market. This includes the category trends/drivers, periodic business situation, specific economic factors, brand plans, market trends & upcoming events, competitive activity, local toolkit exploitation and local opportunities.
• Lead and elevate conversations with clients based on their business needs to deliver meaningful strategies by delivering strategy recommendations that can deliver on business challenges (working with strategy team)
• Thinking proactively and strategically, anticipating your clients’ needs before they do in light of business challenges
• Increase involvement in client-facing meetings and build relationships
• Gain a full understanding of the KPIs for campaigns based on client business objectives.
• To handle more projects from A to Z with full accountability on concepts and layouts and supervising a team to help, collaborating with peers, writers and superiors to get the best results.
• Coach better ways of working on the client on hand to achieve client aims/ satisfaction/ targets by sharing end of campaign reports

Growth and Business Development

• Engage in business pitches to enable more client conversion and diversify portfolio and experience across brands and verticals by working with the senior team on new business prospects/opportunities
• Drive incremental growth by upselling clients diversified services, expand digital offering, explore data, tech and content solutions.
• Pitch Proactive ideas to exiting clients and identify current client prospects.
• Protect revenue and ensure client retention.

Creative Innovation

• Lead integrated campaigns across channels – managing the full production process of all your projects from start to finish across all mediums
• Help AD/GAD with clients’ business transformation through innovative creative solutions.
• Able to act as the subject expert and manage Digital and social projects and identify opportunities for proactive innovative solution.
• Pushing for the best work and elevating the level of craft produced by the teams
• Ensure the quality of the creative product coupled along with delivering on business results by understanding and knowing client’s KPIs and business goals
• Contribute and lead on Digital integrated campaigns for existing clients by demonstrating 360 integrated capability across campaigns

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required

• Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably within communication, digital or media agency, could also come from marketing/client side, art and culture is a plus
• Fluent in English and Arabic
• Proven experience in developing and implementing communication strategies to support the agency’s objectives and client campaigns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and engage diverse audiences.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
