The Opportunity / Who We Seek
We are looking for an accomplished Senior Fund Accountant to join our team as part of our financial services business in Dubai.
Established in 2008, our Dubai office is the Maples Group’s regional operating hub in the Middle East. A commitment to service excellence and investment in our people has led to continued growth where our teammates deliver best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide alongside our colleagues in legal services.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of complex net asset valuations for a growing portfolio of private equity and hedge funds.
- Involvement in all client related administrative functions and liaising with lawyers, investment managers, prime brokers and other transaction counterparties in various international jurisdictions.
- Deliver high levels of client service, ensuring that each relationship is compliant with internal policies and procedures.
What You Bring
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
- A graduate with an excellent academic background with at least 3 years relevant experience in investment fund accounting (ideally Private Equity and/or Hedge)
- A professional accounting designation would be desirable but not essential.
- A detailed understanding of investment securities and transactions and internationally recognised accounting policies.
- Preference will also be given to candidates who have direct experience working with Advent Geneva and/or Investran.
- Excellent organisational skills, possess strong attention to detail and be able to manage time effectively.
- Effective problem solving skills and be able to deal with all people at different levels.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
