We are seeking an experienced Architect, ideally an Infrastructure SME (with skills in Orchestration and Automation) to deliver cloud transformational outcomes for our customers. Ideally, you will have experience working in a consulting role, leading other architects / engineers to deliver automated, secure and robust cloud infrastructure solutions.
We like people who get involved in all levels of technical discussions, from architecture to hands on coding. We are looking for a strong technical expert, with experience leading world-class teams on complex projects from inception to delivery.
Frequent travel (potentially relocation) to Saudi Arabia will be required.
Arabic language skills will be highly advantageous.
Job Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions that optimize the performance, scalability, and security of our customer’s infrastructure. Your focus will be on developing and implementing efficient orchestration and automation strategies to streamline operations and improve productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective cloud-based solutions.
Design and architect scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions, with a specific focus on orchestration and automation.
Develop strategies and implement frameworks for efficient orchestration and automation of cloud resources, including provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
Evaluate and recommend suitable cloud orchestration and automation tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Implement and manage cloud-based infrastructure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security components, utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles.
Create and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture, processes, and procedures.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are designed with cloud-friendly principles and can effectively leverage orchestration and automation capabilities.
Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization, performance, and costs.
Identify potential risks and implement appropriate measures to ensure data security, compliance, and disaster recovery.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing, orchestration, and automation.
Qualifications Strong knowledge of Private Cloud computing concepts, principles, and architectures (OpenStack, VMWare, etc.)
Proficiency in automation and orchestration technologies is essential. This includes experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell), network automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet), and orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes, OpenStack).
Strong skills in designing and architecting complex network solutions. This includes the ability to analyze business requirements, translate them into network designs, and ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
Understanding network security principles and best practices is critical. This includes knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, secure remote access, encryption protocols, and security frameworks.
Solid understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles and experience with related tools (e.g., CloudFormation, ARM Templates, etc.).
Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and practices, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
