Hitachi Energy Hiring for Senior Project Business Controller Full Time

You as a Senior Project Business Controller and HUB Financial analyst will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dubai, UAE. You will be supporting Project Managers in all financial and commercial matters, actively and proactively drive the project’s performance. Assigned to multiple projects and different size.

Your responsibilities

• Supporting the tender manager on financial aspects. Providing input to negotiations on commercial issues. Providing input in local risk review process.
• Providing input to the Project Execution Plan on financial and commercial aspects.
• Preparing project invoices, financial accounting, and reporting (including project site accounting where applicable). Driving receivables collections, overall projects’ cash flow and overseeing currency risk and tax issues. Is responsible for the correctness of project balance sheet and income statement as well as for cash flow and monthly/quarterly forecast.
• Participating in opportunity or risk identification, monitoring that all required mitigation actions are timely implemented.
• Supporting the Project Manager in coordinating and preparing monthly project reviews. Participating in preparing the project cost report. Verifying the substance for cost to complete. Reviewing the balance sheet of projects and making sure there are no surprises.
• Providing support on claim management, back-charges and insurance cases and monitoring the proper follow up together with the Contract Manager or Project Manager up-stream (towards customer), side-stream (towards consortia partner) as well as down-stream (towards suppliers).
• Supporting the Project Manager in adherence to corporate governance, integrity, assurance, internal control, group charter, country specific finance directives and instructions.
• Supporting in various ad hoc tasks to drive efficiency, managing costs and cash of the HUB and OU’s.

Your background

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance.
• 5 to 10 years of project controlling or finance experience in Power and or T&D industries.
• Strong commercial and communication skills, customer and business oriented.
• Proven knowledge in Excel is a must. And SAP Experience is beneficial.
• Proactiveness, forward thinking and entrepreneurial mindset is very important.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
