R&D Engineer Job description:

R&D serves a critical role in identifying the business gaps inside the woodworking factory, moreover recommending action plans and solutions for improvement by conducting market research and analyzing the existing products in addition to collaborating with the other departments to manufacture the mockup and preparing the cost estimation.

Duties and responsibilities:

Keep up to date on the market trends by conducting research for identifying the business opportunities for the company and obtaining the designs of the specific products.
Conduct and submit the 3-D renders to be submitted and reviewed by the top management on time.
Analyze the receivable requirements in order to request the appropriate quantity of raw materials.
Establish analyses on the products details and hardware on a regular basis for identifying the area of development and recommend solutions for improvement.
Identity the quantity of hardware and accessory to be submitted and required from the procurement department moreover obtaining the product samples.
Conduct production shop drawings based on the clients requirement details to be proposed with the standard quality.
Accomplish and commit to design procedures inside the company with the ability to the production machine capabilities.
Work closely with the production department in manufacturing the mockup and submitting it with high quality and on time.
Support in preparing the pricing and cost estimation in condition with the estimation division.
Add and launch the new/ existing product within the existing standard range after approval.
Develop the existing products by determining the area of development in compliance with standard quality.
Keep up to date with the trend in similar industries and new products to facilitate identifying new business opportunities.

Skills:

Bachelors degree in design, interior designer, architecture, or a relevant discipline is required.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar field especially in the furniture and wood industries.
Proficiency in AutoCAD program, and 3D software including PYTHA, 3DMAX, and etc.
Previous experience in various hardware and installing accessories options is a must.
Solid attention to detail and analytical skills for identifying the area of development and proposing new improvement solutions.
Ability to develop the existing products and system by conducting research and proposing an action plan for the products.
In-depth knowledge of the required raw materials for manufacturing, the hardware, and accessory finalization.
Experience with managing complex engineering tasks in collaboration with other engineering and/or business support functions.
Previous experience in developing existing products in compliance with standard quality.
Outstanding analytical thinking skills for conducting market research and identifying business gaps.
Keep up to date with the trend in similar industries and new products.
Excellent critical thinking, attention to detail, and presentation skills.
