The ProjectSales Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional project teams withinthe sales phase, to enable successful bids that span Enterprise Servicessolutions. The Project Sales Manager is responsible for managing resources,schedules, and quality throughout the sales phase of large & complexprojects. This also includes management of issues, risks, and project changerequests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. The person is alsoresponsible for driving process improvement initiatives as it relates toimproving the project sales process.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
• You are responsible for project management within the sales phaseof Enterprise Services offerings across the Middle East and Southern &Eastern Africa (MESA) zone
• You demonstrate an understanding of customer needs and how toaddress these through value-based, comprehensive solutions that will addressclient goals while maintaining alignment with business needs and industry bestpractices
• For each project, you will develop and lead the implementation ofa detailed project plan to coordinate tasks and interdependencies between thevarious workstreams, and track progress to ensure that the bid is deliveredon-time, with quality, and within budget.
• You will act as an internal quality control check for the projectto ensure quality of the deliverables and where needed steer issue resolution.
• You will provide regular status reporting to the project team,project sponsors, and key stakeholders regarding project milestones,deliverables, dependencies, decisions, and risks.
• You will create and maintain comprehensive project documentationincluding project plans, bid costs, risk & opportunity register, anddecision registers.
• You will steer the establishment and standardization of bestpractices, processes, templates, and tools to expand and mature our projectmanagement capabilities for Enterprise Services in the zone.
• You will be responsible for the support, the coaching, and theeducation of our colleagues in the countries to enable and empower them toproject manage Enterprise Services sales projects.
Your Qualifications and Experience
• University degree in either economics, medical science,technology or business administration; PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience and workingwith business stakeholders in a cross-functional matrix environment -preferably in sales or solution business within the Healthcare/Life Scienceindustry.
• Extensive understanding of project management methodologies suchas lean, agile and waterfall.
• Successfully managed mid-to-large projects that are strategicand/or operational in nature.
• Strong experience drafting and submitting offers and in contractdevelopment and negotiation.
• Good working knowledge of process development, standardization,and documentation methodologies.
• You have extensive experience presenting to executive sponsorsand demonstrated communication skills including with technical andnon-technical staff and all levels of management.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, andSharePoint.
• Proficiency in English communication (written, verbal andpresentation); further languages like Arabic, German, and French are highlybeneficial.
