The Job Opportunity
The main purpose of the role is to work with the client and stakeholders to ensure our service complies with Serco and client standard, HSEQ, procedures and management plans which includes reviewing method statements, PPM tasks and undertaking Risk Assessments.
Key accountabilities
Manage and lead the development and/or review of method statements, risk assessments, maintenance procedures (PPM’s) and permitting to ensure the safe and compliant delivery of contracted services. To work in partnership with the procurement, finance, CMMS/CAFM and Helpdesk teams to drive service delivery excellence, deliver value outcomes to the Serco team and client, and, the effective development and deployment of service delivery systems Provide and prepare estimates and quotations for minor project works as and when required Provide input into the development of the Annual and 5 Year Asset Maintenance Plans, Energy Management Plans and asset/facility condition surveys and work with other managers to develop and deliver a training matrix of basic maintenance skills to support the development of technicians into multi skilled technicians. Provide quality analysis and comment technically upon maintenance feedback from both in-house and specialist service partners and provide written reports and corrective actions as required including recommended training as required to enhance the efficiency of technical personnel Own the competence management system for the team and regularly audit competence records to ensure correct completion

Specific requirements
Practical experience of the built environment with a mechanical or electrical engineering qualification 7 years’ minimum experience in working as an engineer in a building services engineering department within a facilities management organisation
5 years minimum experience of managing multi-skilled maintenance team Technically competent with a clear knowledge and experience of building services system, life safety and buildings controls systems Proven experience of the “Integrated Facilities Management” solution including operational delivery at multiple building facilities Background in commercial and budget Holder of a degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. electrical or mechanical) Preferably with qualifications in Facilities Management related disciplines
