Job Overview:
The Senior Assurance Specialist requires technical understanding of work processes in EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects in the (offshore) oil/gas/energy industry. The Senior Assurance Specialist must be able to develop, simplify and improve management system processes. The Senior Assurance Specialist must understand the principles of international standards and certification (such as ISO 9001, API Q1/2B etc.), and be a Lead Auditor. The Senior Assurance Specialist will have oversight on the implementation of the integrated management system within the Business Line, continual improvement initiatives, as well as IT systems in support of QHSES requirements. The role requires strong analytical, problem solving and reporting skills. The Senior Assurance Specialist will act as a regular liaison with leads within the QHSES Function, with Project Management Teams and with other Business Lines and Global Functions.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provide support for the maintenance of all certifications maintained by the Business Line
- Support development & implementation of the annual area audit schedule
- Conduct scheduled internal audits with continual improvement objectives
- Conduct audit report quality checks
- Monitor audit findings, corrective actions, and follow-up through close-out
- Develop regional management system policies, procedures, and standards
- Conduct gap analysis of regulatory requirements and standards to ensure organization is in-line and management advised on the strategy
- Ensure implementation of QHSES systems such as Unifi and Intelex
- Perform monitoring, data analysis and reporting on QHSES performance
- Oversee root cause analysis and incident investigations, as required
- Monitor and report customer satisfaction feedback progress
- Collate data, analyze, and develop Business Line management presentations (quarterly)
- Perform and report annual Business Line management review
- Ensure assurance activity plans are maintained up to date
Essential Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor’s Degree related to QHSES or Engineering
- Internal or Lead Auditor ISO 9001, 14001 or 45001 (current to the most recent certification)
- 10 years’ experience in oil/gas/energy construction, or process industry, of which at least 5 years in a QHSES related role
- 5 years auditing experience
- Strong analytical & interpersonal skills
