Job Summary

The Treasury Analyst is responsible for providing Settlement reconciliation and regional FX coverage over the Middle East and South Asia, collaborating with the Pricing team to deliver consumer level pricing analysis, and supporting regional and global Treasury and Settlement efforts. Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal Finance & Treasury teams and external banking partners and agents. The position will be responsible for regional aspects of accounts receivable, accounts payable and settlement reconciliation for a broad and complex base of partner accounts. The position is expected to be a subject matter expert of MGI products and processes related to the settlement and remittance activities of Settlement Operations. The position is typically responsible for high profile partners and accounts with complex remittance methods or schedules. This position also provides support to settlement specialists with daily settlement and reconciliation duties, provides settlement specialist training, supports, and drives change initiated by management, and participates in and may lead department projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Explores and engages with market participants to develop insight into pricing improvement opportunities within the wholesale FX markets in the Middle East and South Asia.
• Collects daily wholesale FX rates in non-transparent currencies to support consumer pricing strategies through FX market insight, wholesale trading, and base rate modifications.
• Executes FX trades for Corporate Treasury, focused on minimizing cash balances and FX exposure, primarily in captive Account Deposit arrangements.
• Work with Treasury teams in Singapore, Dallas and London to forecast FX cash balances and facilitate trade settlement. Reconciles regional AR activity which includes agent settlement for transactions, commissions and rebates and unique remittances: Identifies and resolves discrepancies within established remit schedules, Reports and escalates issues appropriately and timely, and Manages accounts with an emphasis on unique/complex remittance, settlement, or reconciliation requirements.
• Monitors reporting and resolution of activity to minimize financial losses /exposure: Manages agent advances/prefunds and specialized remittance schedules ensuring contractual compliance and Disposition AR activity within defined parameters.
• Performs special projects or other duties as assigned: Supports requests for information from internal management, internal and external auditors. Assists with internal documentation, policies and procedures as requested. Assists with the A/R accounting requirements and/or the UAT related to new products, and/or processing system changes with respect to existing products. Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• BA/BS in accounting or related field or equivalent experience – preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in Treasury, Settlement or Accounting related fields
