University of Wollongong in Dubai Hiring for Casual Position- Accounting Officer Job at Dubai Full Time

UOWD is seeking applications to recruit for the position of Accounting Officer in a casual role for an immediate start.

Remuneration for this role will be AED 35/hour , with expected working hours being 7-8 hours per day, 5 days a week.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oracle – Accounts Payable invoices posting and payments processing
• Oracle – Expense Management Module auditing and payments processing.
• Petty cash management and allocation of expenses
• Month end Project Cost reallocation after review of Payables posting
• Process Corporate Card payment
• Journal entries pertaining to Payables/Receivables
• Monthly reallocation of Receivables
• Preparing bank upload file for bank reconciliation.
• Oracle invoicing/receipting to external stakeholders.
• Daily update of Credit card and Cash Transactions in Bank Receivables file.
• Reconciling the daily bank statement with Payables transactions.
• Reallocation of Capital expenditure posting from Procurement Module.
• Monthly review of VAT
• Coordinating with the Bank for any payments and/or related queries and clarifications and Insurance companies

Essential Criteria

• UAE Residency Visa with No Objection Certificate from the visa sponsor.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles.
• Proficiency with computers and MS office suite.
• Knowledge in Oracle or similar software would be an added advantage
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Quick learner
• Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience
