Annual Base Salary range of 80,000 USD – 150,000 USD + performance-based bonus’ – 0% tax environment + an opportunity to join our employee share scheme.

Job Summary:

We are looking to recruit a talented Data Scientist to join our team in Dubai. As a data scientist at Cobblestone Energy, you will be responsible for developing and testing new trading strategies, discovering new knowledge, and creating bespoke data-tools and forecasts to enable our trading and asset dispatch teams to make the correct moves in the market.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement advanced analytics and infrastructure solutions to support power and gas trading operations.
• Collaborate with traders and other stakeholders to identify key business challenges and opportunities.
• Use data science techniques to build predictive models and other solutions that drive value for our organization.
• Develop systematic trading strategies across all of our markets.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of analytics solutions and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics)
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist
• Strong experience with predictive modelling and optimization algorithms
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior team members.
• Proficiency in python programming language.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
• Experience in a power or gas trading markets is highly desirable but not required.
