United Company RUSAL is one of the world’s largest aluminium producers and the biggest low carbon aluminium producer. We are looking for a Sales Manager who will take an integral and active part in creating, developing, implementing and executing the 5 year Strategic Plan for Asian aluminium alloys sales.

The role will report to the Head of a Sales Group (Unit head) in Asia Sales team.

Location of the role: Dubai, UAE

The purpose of the role

Together with the Unit Head to take part in business development, identifying new opportunities and work on the enablers for the business growth on both, commercial and technical fronts. Manage contracts and associated activities to meet Sales Plan by having good dedicated knowledge about the market, Company’s internal capabilities and procedures, provide the support and back-up the Unit Head.

Role responsibilities

• Manages inquiries in accordance with market practice and corporate regulation.
• Administrates of technical specification approval process with Product Managers.
• Manages corporate approval processes for contracts.
• By managing related corporate systems/software formalize concluded deals into appropriate contractual documentation to enable timely and accurate contract execution.
• By analyzing relevant input data (such as capacity availability, smelter’s product range, costs of production and logistic, target premium level, cost of financing, customer status and others) carry out pre-contract feasibility analysis to ensure that best return opportunities could be materialized into deals.
• By liaising with Contract Administration and customers continuously monitor contract execution and, where necessary, implement appropriate modifications to achieve contract fulfilment to customer’s satisfaction and in the best interest of the Company.
• Via initiation of appropriate investigations, coordination of activities of involved departments, and implementation of improvement plans as per relevant claim management procedure contribute to fulfilment of Company’s Quality Policy.
• Assess and monitor the customers’ financial stability and ability to perform and execute contracts.
• 
  9. Through interaction with relevant departments (Planning/Finance/Logistics/Contract Administration) optimise metal flow efficiency (logistics, allocation) in order to maintain and/or improve target profitability of concluded contracts.

Participate in cross-functional projects with Contract Administration, Finance, Production and Logistics

Desired skills and experience

1. Bachelor degree in Commerce or Economics.

2. Languages: English – fluent. Thai language is an advantage.

3. Qualities: excellent communication skills, extrovert character, pro-active and taking initiative, strong analytical, organization and planning skills, problem analysis and problem-solving, keen to learn, corporate spirit, commitment.

4. At least 1 year in trading/trading assistance role, preferably in commodities related industry.

5. Knowledge and skills: advanced knowledge of international trade techniques, INCOTERMS 2020, basics of LME/hedging, financing and payment instruments. Good command of general MS Office application suite.
