About the team
The Corporate Sales Team is responsible for managing, nurturing and acquiring clients for Careem’s Ride
Hailing Business within the UAE. Working within a fast moving and high performance sales team, the
Sales Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities and client needs, and then articulating
Careem’s technical solution to ensure that the client requirements are met whilst delivering best in class
customer service.
What you’ll do
- Strategically identify, qualify and convert new business clients
- Grow an existing portfolio of clients by following your account management process
- Identify upsell opportunities from the existing client base
- Work closely with in house teams such as Product, Finance and Marketing to ensure that
client requirements are effectively articulated internally - Maintain the CRM system to accurately record sales activities, pipeline and progress towards
sales targets - Effectively communicate Careem’s value proposition to ensure that the technical aspect of
our proposition is communicated with authority - Utilise data to your advantage to assist with meeting and exceeding challenging sales
targets - Be equally comfortable in prospecting new clients as providing first class account
management - Ability to penetrate large scale organisations and effectively reach agreement through
various stakeholdersWhat you’ll need - A broad understanding of sales process and methodologies, in particular consultative selling
- Proven sales track record, preferably within a fast-paced tech start-up
- Data driven and motivated by challenging targets
Where you’ll be
- Even though we are working remotely, we are strong believers in collaboration and the power of building social connections with our teams. For that reason, our offices are still open and provide plenty of collaboration-friendly spaces at times when teams need it or if you need a quiet space to work outside of home.
- You’ll be working in the location you’re hired from. Due to legal and compensation considerations, you will need to be based out of the country you’re hired from as your primary work location.

Minimum qualifications
5-10 years sales experience, preferably within a tech start-up
An incredibly sharp mind, with the academic or work history to prove it
A natural relationship builder
