The Role : Senior Credit Product Specialist
The Team & Impact: S&P Global Market Intelligence’s (SPGMI) Product Specialist or ganization supports the division’s objective of developing and delivering integrated data, research, and analytic solutions to our clients globally. The Credit Product Specialists’ mandate is to help Sales Executives and Relationship Managers to monetize and leverage SPGMI’s capabilities, by providing significant k nowledge of credit capabilities including our quantitative market signal models and quantitative fundamentals-based models (PDs and LGDs ) , as well as qualitative credit assessment scorecards, research and data, to serve our clients in managing complex credit risk management issues .
The specific area of fo cus will be the Credit Solutions business that combines a suite of analytical tools (Credit Model, PD Model Fundamentals, PD Model Market Signals, Credit Health Panel, Scorecards and RD ) with workflow solutions for credit analysts to assess and monitor the risk of counterparties and to identify opportunities in the market to extend credit, invest in fixed income, underwrite specialty insurance policies or price inter – company loans.
We are looking for a Senior Credit Product Specialist to help drive the prod uct success and sales growth across Developing Europe, Middle East, India and Africa . Reporting to the Head of Developing Markets , the Credit Product Specialist role will be accoun table for assisting the commercial team in complex and strategic credit-related sales opportunities and retaining existing business.
The role will be based in Dubai . T ravel will be required acros s Developing Europe, Middle East, India and Africa .
Key Responsibilities
Aligns with commercial strategy for credit products and helps execute high level strategic pre-sales and post-sales implementation plans.
U nderstands complex client credit risk workflows across segment s (Corporates, Commercial and Investment Banking, Insurance, and Investment Management) .
Establis hes relationships with Sales Executives, Relationship M anagers, Product Managers and Commercial D irectors to diagnose, design and deliver credit wor kflow solutions for the market .
D evelop s campaig ns and initiatives for driving revenue growth for segment-specific sales and assists in client retention work around credit products.
Oversees collaboration with commercial, product and other functional partners.
Stays well connected to strategic customers in the market.
Promotes S&P Glo bal Market Intelligence thought- leadership.
Serves as a credit subject matter expert across functional groups.
Collaborates internally to des ign and deliver credit training .
Demonstrates proficiency in all S&P Global Market Intelligence credit capabilities.
Possesses k een awareness of competitors and relative strengths.
Conduct s Proof of Concepts, assists in RFPs and test cases for regulatory requirements such as IFRS9.
Lead and Drive events, Webinars as well as publications for Credit and Risk Solutions for Developing Europe, Middle East, India and Africa
What We’re Looking For
Requirements:
Ability to utilize strong industry, product, and client expertise to solve complicated credit-related client workflow challenges.
Ability to inter act confidently with prospects and clients as well as cross- functional teams within the organization, i.e. Product Management, Education, Legal and M arketing.
Possession of c ommercial acumen .
Ability to solve complex problems in the sales process and, where necessary, adopt a new perspective using expert judg e ment.
Ability to manage competing projects and stakeholders.
Possess ion of exceptional communication and interpersonal skills .
Self-motivated, with a strong desire to succeed and a positive outlook .
Extensive travel across Developing Europe, Middle East, India and Africa to visit prospects and clients, as well as S&P Global locations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
9+ years’ relevant industry experience in credit and risk management.
MBA or advanced industry certification a plus.
Languages – Arabic and English
