Partner with the best
As a Application Engineer, you will play a vital role in creating technical solutions that fulfill the needs of our customers. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide product guidance and scope for new requisitions. You will also be working and learning with the biggest names in the energy industry.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Working with the assigned Service Delivery Coordinator/Salesperson to understand the client’s well construction or production objectives
- Performing offset job analysis and product/service specific engineering modelling calculations to understand application hazards and incident potential
- Working together with all disciplines and stakeholders to ensure all aspects and constraints of the application
- Designing a job program, including risk mitigation and contingency plans, that can meet the client’s objective, maximize revenue Baker Hughes
- Documenting any calculations/simulations/plan revision and/or changes during the project cycles for visibility to dependent teams and audit purposes
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor of Engineering, science, technology, or mathematics or equivalent degree
- Demonstrate exceptional verbal and non-verbal communication skills for preparing proposals, conducting meetings, answering sales/customer questions and writing/explaining technical aspects
- Have 6 years of experience in Application Engineering and Well Planning
- Have experience with Drilling Engineering software; including FEA Analysis, Torque and Drag, Hydraulics, BHA design, etc.
- Have experience with BHASYSPro software, Advantage Engineering, JewelSuite Drilling Engineering, Well Architect
- Have previous experience with failure investigation of downhole tools, preferred
- Have very good interpersonal and leadership skills and inclusive team working style
- Be happy to travel both to regional and international locations to work with customers on site
