Our reputable client is looking to hire an experienced Junior Financial Controller.
Key Tasks:
Complete, timely and accurate financial reporting

• Responsible for monthly financial reporting process so that all reporting is done in line with the financial reporting instructions and on time.
• Responsible for ensuring audit process in the countries with the aim to obtain audit statements without any reservation, proving thus that company accounts show fair and accurate value.
• Manage, in co-operation with the external auditor, annual statutory reporting so that it complies with the local legislative requirements.
• Managing tax compliance by ensuring VAT returns are submitted timely and accurately.
• Implement changes in tax legislation into the company’s processes so as to comply with the law and to protect the tax position of the company, particularly with the evolving tax environment in the gulf region

Cash Forecast reporting

• Responsible for preparing bi-weekly cash flow forecasts for submission to Global Treasury teams.

Overheads Reporting and analysis

• Responsible for overhead costs review and analysis, ensuring no overspending and accurate accruals are in place.
• Responsible for Monthly Overheads Forecast submission and reporting.
• Responsible for the cost centre creation requests and other ad hoc requests for Overheads.

Identification and remediation of control issues

• Ensure transaction processing procedures are in line with the concern global and local control requirements and authorization schedules.
• Manage the accounting operations to ensure that operations are carried out as efficiently as possible and of the quality required by the company standards.
• Responsible for ensuring controls framework is in place across functions, defining control operators and ensuring compliance.
• Assist in driving future fit projects to secure standardization & documentation of Gulf processes & policies

P2P system and structure

• Responsible for ensuring P2P systems are working seamlessly.
• Be the touchpoint for teams for P2P-related concerns and vendor set-up in the system.
• Finance contact point for external suppliers and 3rd parties for P2P-related concerns.
• Lead on projects relating to the set up of systems and processes related to P2P Function.

Minimum Qualifications/education

• Preferably Internal Control experience of 2-5 years
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or finance from an accredited university
