Business Development Manager
Scope & Principal Responsibilities:
1) Customer Business Performance Analysis: Evolution of demand through predictive drivers of choice. Analyze customer business sell out performance and share insights to drive short to medium term growth and agile execution frameworks. Develop & track customer benchmarking systems analyzing customer level KPI’s v/s plans.
2) Customer Joint Business Planning: Input into Customer Joint Up Business Planning integrating business insights, commercial intelligence and data driven decision making.
3) Local Business Insights: Build systems and processes and lead interaction with customer data and strategy teams, HQ teams and external sources to effectively capture and co-relate shop floor and category data to analyze and generate business acceleration drivers, product, pricing and investment recommendations. Provide analytical support to develop store level micro targeting plan with commercial and marketing teams based on customer, category, business environment and shopper insights
4) Commercial Business Reporting: Manage BU business HQ and Internal Business reporting processes
Lead commercial monthly business reporting cycles
Provide commercial analytical support and framework to BU Leadership team meetings
Coordinate with commercial teams on budget and Latest Estimates to ensure timely and accurate submission.
Manage input of data into GTR Global data tracking database
Work closely with BU GM to prepare ad-hoc reports, analysis and presentations as needed to support customer meetings and business reviews
5) Business Intelligence: Forensically analyze competitor activities and track key changes in environment and input into business planning
6) Allocation Management: Provide analysis on sales of brands under allocations and work with Demand Planner to recommend re-allocation when appropriate.
7) Process Automation: Drive automation in multiple business processes to effectively and accurately capture data from multiple sources and reduce manual reporting
8) Analyze Consumer Promotions: Analyze consumer promotions at a customer level working closely with customer and commercial teams to develop a ROI focused and business driving promotion strategy. Simulate promotional scenarios to recommend optimum promotional plan.
9) Projects: To take an active part in BU/ Global Travel Retail /Group projects and other initiatives and to provide insights and recommendations on ad-hoc projects and requests.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or relevant discipline
Minimum 3-5 years experience with a consulting firm / business strategy function in the FMCG/Luxury/Retail sector
Excellent analytical capability, with good commercial acumen, business understanding and financial knowledge
Advanced presentation skills
Strong knowledge in information systems and business intelligence is required
Excellent command of written and spoken English is essential
Strong Interpersonal Skills , capable of working with all levels and all functions within the organization
Willingness to travel within Gulf and Internationally
