Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently recruiting for a Strategic Commercial Analyst to strengthen our team in Dubai,UAE for 6 months.
The objective of the Analyst role is to provide timely, thought-provoking insight to Wood’s senior leaders
on relevant markets, industry trends and companies. The Analyst role is an advisory role which requires influencing skills at senior levels in the company through provision of analysis and information but would not ordinarily have strong direct decision-making responsibility.
This role will focus on collection of salary data from P&O, recruitment, external survey data, cost of living and disposable income, perform econometric analysis including sensitivity & scenario analysis, build a regression model for benchmarking against the key factors in the role descriptions. (Education, ME experience, etc).
The Analyst role has a dual focus – to support the Business Unit in which they are embedded on a day-by-day basis, including the S&D function, Operational leaders and Business Development. They are also part of a global Analyst Community of Practice and will be required to work across organizational boundaries on areas of strategic importance to Wood.
Skills / Qualifications:
Identify, obtain, validate, aggregate and critically assess sources of information from both primary and secondary (desk-based) research.
Performing research including collection of salary data from P&O, recruitment, external survey data, cost of living and disposable income.
Selection and development of regression based multi-factor salary model, regression model for benchmarking against the key factors in the re-bid execution strategy and role descriptions. (education, ME experience, etc), for the purpose of determining min and max salary levels.
Perform econometric analysis including sensitivity & scenario analysis Identify,
Experience and proficient in using linear regression software such as E-views, SPSS, etc.
Written and verbal market analysis of sectors, services, companies (both customers & competitors), countries, technology and macro trends
Ability to analyze new, potentially unfamiliar, markets using a variety of analytical techniques
Develop creative and innovative methods to assess and visualize data
Role model collaborative behavior to actively promote and share industry insight to key stakeholders and promote collegiate decision making across the S&A function.
Provide input into the Workforce Strategic Planning (WSP), and re-bid execution model.
Provide business analysis expertise to specific projects within the operations
