The Role

The MEA Project Manager will be responsible for advancing the regions Finance Transformation and Automation strategy by managing the on-going initiatives to produce the desired results in a timely manner. The continuous improvement mindset is expected to introduce further automation, eliminate manual or redundant processes and / or introduce further control.

Communicating and coordinating with stakeholders across various functions, within and outside the region will be a crucial aspect of this role. The role reports in to and works closely with the Head of Finance – Middle East & Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support Finance projects, ensure all projects are delivered on-time within scope and budget
• Develop project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
• Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
• Develop As-Is and To-Be process maps to document needs where required
• Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
• Submit project deliverables and ensure that quality standards are adhered to
• Prepare status reports, establish, and execute effective project communication plans
• Coordinate with cross-functional team members to ensure progress is in line with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules
• Establish and maintain relationships with Partners to better understand the needs of the business and provide required support during change management
• Coordinate with Business Analysts and other internal resources for ensuring technical feasibility and execution of projects
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate tools and techniques
• Regular meetings with project team members to identify and resolve issues
• Measure project performance, report and escalate to Steering Committee or Project Sponsor as needed
• Perform risk management to minimize and mitigate project risks
• Manage stakeholder satisfaction during the project transition period.
• Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements – track report and reflect on it with the project team.
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s degree
• 2 – 3 years of work experience in a similar role preferably within a law firm, financial institution or other corporate or professional services environment
• Knowledge of finance and/or order to cash processes
• Experience of working on Intapp Open and 3E would be desirable or Elite Enterprise, or a similar order management software
• Demonstrated experience interacting with all levels of management and cross-functional teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build senior level relationships and act as a trusted advisor
• Exceptional organizational skills, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines effectively
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office applications and project management tools and techniques
