Role purpose
To provide the Head of Commercial Development (HCD) with support from concept to successful implementation of projects and initiatives that form part of the regional strategy for Travelex Middle East & Turkey.
You will operate as the core support to the HCD and ensure project execution and all supporting activities (i.e. documentation, analyses, project planning, project execution, obtaining systems & process knowledge, stakeholder engagement, progress updates, etc.) are complete and kept current.
You will be expected to provide strategic input on initiatives, highlight project challenges and develop solutions to overcome them.
The role is that of an individual contributor.
Key accountabilities
- Working with the HCD in the development and critical review of strategic plans for the region.
- Understanding the various functions and processes involved in successfully executing strategic projects within Travelex.
- Tracking and managing the execution of critical processes across HR, IT, Operations, Finance, C&R and other stakeholders involved in successful implementation
- Recommend & implement strategic business and system solutions to create more efficiency in processes, leading to improved service delivery.
- End to End ownership of project delivery by coordinating between business & technology teams.
- Design, plan & execute project life cycles inclusive of all stages of development & remediation: requirement gathering, development, testing & production hyper-care.
- Handling all necessary documentation for projects & solutions implemented.
- Provide knowledge transfer to relevant business owners & stakeholders for any support post implementation go-live.
- Develop control processes around project/solution delivery to ensure risk mitigation at each step of project execution.
- Development of RAID logs & RACI matrices to hold stakeholders to account for project delivery.
- Preparing reports on project completion, and other necessary supporting documentation, to ensure projects are kept within budget & deadline with critical issues identified.
- Taking ownership in stakeholder management and communication; acting as a go-between for the HCD and Stakeholders when required.
- Taking ownership in the development of Scope of Work definition, feasibility studies and business cases to thoroughly vet strategic initiatives and quantify their expected success.
- Prioritizing the activities associated with project delivery, in conjunction with relevant stakeholders, to ensure alignment and speed of MVP project delivery.
- Supporting the HCD with tracking program outcomes post implementation (e.g., KPIs).
- Building relationships with stakeholders to enhance the speed & support of delivery and maximize project impact.
- Developing insights for senior leadership on initiatives through appropriate market research that will underpin commercial forecasts.
- Representing HCD, as required, in various company forums involving Travelex Senior Leadership Teams.
- To commit to continuously learning with a focus on personal development, industry trends and the roles & responsibilities within the organization to be able to operate at both at a macro and micro level when analysing and executing projects.
Role-specific experience and skills
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Commerce, Finance, IT or a similar field.
- Strong proficiency in standard MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
- Natural proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Prior experience in project management roles.
- Minimum of 4 years work experience in Project Management roles.
Beneficial Skills (Non-Mandatory Skills):
- Proficiency in MS Project.
- Pursuit of Project Management certifications (e.g. PMP,Prince 2)
- Prior experience with commercial analysis & business forecasting
- Familiarity with large organisation structures.
- Relevant work experience, either industry or role specific.
