TEAM Energy are working alongside a major international Oil and Gas company to find a Senior Seaport and Heliport Assistant. The position will be an office based, permanent role for resident Emirati’s.

Full Description

• Carry out a variety of duties to ensure the safe movement of passengers and freight to the company’s Offshore Facilities through Dubai World Central (“DWC”), Jebel Ali Operations Supply Base (“JAOSB”), and Mina Rashid Port utilising boats and helicopters

Responsibilities

• Check passengers in at the counter, and weigh the passengers and luggage to ensure they are within weight limitations of the helicopter. Observe passengers and ensure they are fit to fly.
• Ensure appropriate health and safety briefings are provided covering emergency procedures should the transportation vehicle (boat/helicopter etc.) be forced to deviate from routine procedure. Ensure that all first time travellers are thoroughly briefed before boarding the company provided transportation.
• Liaise with Offshore Logistic Supervisor- Production and Exploration or Supervisor – Well Operations to manage travel routing, passenger and freight on a daily basis. Enter necessary trip data into Offshore Personnel Management System (“OPMS”) and process passenger boarding and seaport /airport gate passes.
• Complete the boat / flight manifest including name of passengers, their weight, and weight of associated baggage and freight. Maintain manifests in department files as necessary.
• Escort passengers to/from DWC, JAOSB or Mina Rashid as and when required.
• Observe the loading and unloading of boat / helicopter and ensures that all luggage and freight are properly stowed, that all passengers are safely on board and that any critical materials are securely and safely loaded and transported.
• Liaise with the Police and boat / helicopter providers when an injured person is being returned from offshore. Attend to escorting the injured person to the clinic or hospital.
• Coordinate urgent material and freight shipped offshore
• Perform any other administrative task pertaining to the boat / helicopter daily operation as deemed necessary and as per the Marine and Aviation Logistics Manager or his designee’s instruction.
• Work on shift-duty according to the monthly duty roster prepared by Marine and Aviation Logistics Manager and ensure that the assigned duty schedule is strictly adhered to.

Experience

• Work experience of at least 5 years in a similar role (i.e. Public Relations or Passenger Handling Agent).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suites i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent
